Abstract:
Use of the greater omentum in surgery is presented. The greater omentum is an organ possessing unique properties of localizing and healing inflammatory processes. Modern surgical techniques of elongating of the omentum enable its use outside the abdominal cavity in management of complicated problems in thoracic cavity, upper and lower extremities and head and neck.
