New smoking cessation effort offers multiple delivery models
Abstract:
Providers know that doing everything they can to help their patients quit smoking is the right thing to do. But health care organizations often have a tough time justifying cessation programs from the standpoint of ROI. However, one way to make the financial equation fit is by offering the program to chronically ill enrollees in DM programs. In this population, ROI from such an effort will come quickly, according to experts at National Jewish Medical and Research Center.
