Basaloid carcinoma of descending colon

Abstract:
A 24-year old woman presented with abdominal pain and diarrhea. Examination showed distension and tenderness of the abdomen. At laparotomy, she had a circumferential obstructing growth in the descending colon, with hemorrhagic ascites and metastases in the liver and lymph nodes. Microscopy showed features of basaloid variety of cloacogenic tumors.
