Abstract:
Coding for surgical procedures is often difficult. The problems are compounded when evaluation and management services are also included as part of the treatment. This article defines global periods and modifiers that may be used when subsequent procedures are required; in addition, evaluation and management services and illustrative scenarios are provided.
