Genetic variations in the norepinephrine transporter (NET) gene were examined in panic disorder (PD) patients. No significant association was found between NET gene variants and panic disorder, suggesting other factors may be involved.

  • These findings suggest that other genetic or environmental factors may play a more prominent role in the pathophysiology of PD.
