[Experimental contribution to the study of the anticellular effect of diphenyl mercury (author's transl)]
Abstract:
The effect of diphenyl mercury on the chick embryo erythroblastic cell population and rat's bone marrow cells has been studied. The predominant cytologically observed effect of this compound was the c-mitotic action. Besides the well known capacity of spindle inactivation, the diphenyl mercury was able to induce chromosome fragmentation; a radiomimetic action of the compound is suggested.
