Background:

Abdominal tuberculosis (TB) is a significant health concern, prevalent in developing nations and resurging globally.
Computed tomography (CT) is a primary diagnostic tool for abdominal conditions, necessitating knowledge of TB's CT manifestations.

Purpose of the Study:

To analyze and describe the computed tomography (CT) features of abdominal tuberculosis (TB).
To enhance the diagnostic accuracy of CT in identifying abdominal TB.

Main Methods:

Retrospective analysis of CT findings in 49 patients with confirmed abdominal TB.
Exclusion of patients with genitourinary TB and HIV/AIDS.

Main Results:

Peritoneal involvement was the most frequent finding (77.5%), including ascites (55.2%) or thickening/masses without ascites.

Other common CT findings included lymphadenopathy (46.9%), bowel wall thickening (38%), and solid organ involvement (20.4%).

Conclusions:

CT imaging is reliable for detecting the diverse manifestations of abdominal TB.
