[Pathogenetic validation of the development of early and complicated menopause]
Abstract:
Results have been studied of case histories, clinical-and-functional, and pathomorphological investigations on ovaries in 82 women presenting with early and complicated climacterium, who had undergone ovarian surgery for tumour formations. In those women who ranged from 18 to 34 years old and presented with a most aggravated hereditary antecedent history morphological changes were characterized by development of sclerotic, atrophic, and dysregenerative processes in the parenchyma of the ovary. In women aged 35-42 years with aggravated gynecological past history morphological changes in the ovaries were characterized by predominance of inflammatory processes involving mononuclear cells of lymphoid and histiocytic origin and by development of cystic dilation of folliculi and diminution of the volume of granulosa and luteinic cells due to development of the atrophic process. In women 43 to 55 years old with aggravated somatic case history, morphological changes in the ovaries were characterized by dysregenerative, metaplastic and dysplastic changes that led to lowering of functional parameters of the ovaries. Results of the studies made show that development of pathological climacterium is related largely to an extragenital pathology having occurred at the reproductive age.
