Abstract:
In this short review some aspects in diagnosis of childhood anemia are discussed. Two systems for classification of anemia are shown, the first based on physiological findings and the second based on red cell indices. Some highlights on diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and therapeutic approaches of childhood anemia are presented.
