Summary

Immediately sequential cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) under topical anesthesia is safe and effective for day cases. This approach, using intracameral antibiotics, shows good visual outcomes without increased complications compared to unilateral surgery.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the visual results, safety, and economic advantages of performing immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery under topical anesthesia as a day case procedure.
