A method by which burn units may compare their results with a base line curve
Abstract:
Burn units that treat relatively few patients need a technique by which they may make valid comparisons between their results and mortality curves derived from larger series of data. While the technique described is consistent with the probit mode, the most widely accepted statistical model for studying burn mortality, it aboids the cumbersome calculations associated with probit analysis.
