Summary

A rare orbital varix, a vascular malformation, was diagnosed in a 34-year-old female presenting with intermittent proptosis and diplopia. Due to excellent visual acuity, no surgical intervention was pursued.

Observation:

A 34-year-old female experienced intermittent exophthalmia and moderate diplopia exacerbated by physical effort.
Symptoms resolved with rest, suggesting a condition influenced by venous pressure.

Findings:

Diagnosis of a right orbital varix was established using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (NMR).
The Valsalva maneuver during NMR imaging was crucial in confirming the diagnosis by demonstrating venous engorgement.
