Abstract:
A case of acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) in a woman aged 51 years with a lethal outcome is reported. The diagnosis was made late because of insufficient knowledge of physicians about this disease. The article gives diagnostic criteria and methods of examination in AIP which provide timely diagnosis and adequate treatment.
