Abstract:
When the body is unable to deliver oxygen and perfuse tissues adequately, shock occurs. Cardiogenic shock is the shock syndrome that develops when the heart has lost approximately 40% of its pumping ability. This article reviews the pathophysiology and management of cardiogenic shock.
