[Immediate results of direct coronary artery stenting]
Abstract:
Stent implantation is as a rule preceded by balloon angioplasty (predilation). This increases duration and cost of the procedure. Low profile stents with improved design allow to perform direct (i.e. without predilation) stenting. Immediate results of our series of direct coronary artery stenting procedures evidence for high efficacy and safety of the technique.
