MRI shows abnormal white matter maturation in classical holoprosencephaly

White matter maturation is often delayed in holoprosencephaly (HPE), particularly in the classic form. However, the middle interhemispheric variant of HPE shows normal myelination, suggesting distinct underlying causes for these HPE subtypes.
