Abstract:
Success in elucidating neural and genetic mechanisms for a female-typical sociosexual behavior have encouraged new work on mechanisms for the underlying concepts, motivation and arousal. Evidence for global arousal is adduced, and brainstem pathways contributing to global arousal are under investigation.
