Summary

Orthodontic extraction treatment does not lead to narrower dental arches. A study comparing patients who had teeth removed with those who did not found no significant difference in arch width.

Background:

  • To statistically compare anterior and posterior arch widths in patients treated with and without first-premolar extractions.
