[New high strength titanium alloy Ti-Zr for dental use]
Abstract
Objective:
To develop a new titanium alloy which is suitable for prosthodontic use.
Methods:
According to the mechanical properties of Co-Cr alloy and type IV dental gold alloy, a new titanium alloy Ti-Zr was developed.
Results:
The datas of tensile strength(sigma b = 795 MPa, sigma 0.2 = 657 MPa, delta = 22%, E = 100 GPa) and hardness (249 HK) were collected. The microstructure showed a fine crystal grains.
Conclusion:
The new titanium alloy Ti-Zr is suitable for dental use.
