Summary

Composite tissue transplantation faces skin antigenicity challenges. This study found that while 12-day cyclosporine treatment induced tolerance to vascularized musculoskeletal allografts in swine, skin graft survival was prolonged but not indefinite, suggesting isolated immune reactions to the epidermis.
