Some sugars, such as lactose, maltose, raffinose, glucose etc. can increase the purity of DC12 compared with sucrose. The value of pH can affect the process of producing DC12. Controlling the pH value between 7.5-8.0 can highly improve the production of DC12. Candida tropicalis can symport the DC12 with H+ to the outside of the cell.
