Summary

The Automated Quantification of After-Cataract (AQUA) system accurately quantifies posterior capsule opacification (PCO) and shows excellent repeatability. AQUA correlates well with subjective grading, making it a valuable tool for clinical trials on PCO inhibition.

  • Posterior capsule opacification (PCO) is a common complication after cataract surgery.
