Background:

Mentoplasty is a common procedure for facial profile enhancement.
Autologous cartilage grafts are frequently used for chin augmentation.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy of conchal cartilage grafts for mentoplasty.
To determine the suitability of conchal cartilage for chin augmentation up to 5 mm.

Main Methods:

Conchal cartilage was harvested subperichondrally via a posterior incision.
Grafts were used for chin augmentation (2-3 mm or 4-5 mm projection).
Grafts were secured under the periosteum with sutures.

Main Results:

A total of 28 women underwent mentoplasty with conchal grafts.
Chin projection of 2-3 mm was achieved with one conchal cartilage.
Chin projection of 4-5 mm required both conchal cartilages.
The technique was suitable for augmentations up to 5 mm.

Conclusions:

Conchal cartilage grafts are a suitable and effective option for chin augmentation.
This method provides predictable results for moderate chin projection.
The procedure can be combined with other facial aesthetic surgeries.
