Repeated thoracentesis: an important risk factor for eosinophilic pleural effusion?

Repeated thoracenteses (RTs) do not appear to cause eosinophilic pleural effusion (EPE). This study found no link between the number or timing of RTs and increased eosinophils in pleural fluid.
