Abstract:
The apex cardiogram (acg) in three patients with total heart block showed also during closure of the a.v. valves a-waves, which modified the shape of the systolic wave of the acg. This means that in these cases the a-wave is not caused by impingement of the blood inflow from the atrium on the ventricular wall by contraction of the atrium itself.
