Summary

A Campylobacter jejuni outbreak linked to barbecued chicken sickened individuals across Germany, Liechtenstein, and Austria. Genetic analysis confirmed the bacteria originated from a contaminated slaughterhouse, cross-contaminating chickens and leading to widespread campylobacteriosis.
