[Periodic paralysis discovered in a 65-year-old woman: one case report]

Introduction:
Familial hypokalemic periodic paralysis (FHPP) is an autosomal dominant disorder which usually begins before thirty years.
Exegesis:
We report a case of FHPP occurring in a 65-year-old woman whereas two members of her family have symptoms since childhood. Differential diagnosis are discussed.
Conclusion:
FHPP must be one of the differential diagnoses in front of an hypokalemic paralysis attack, even in the elderly.
