[Quality of life in dialysed patients--methodological issues]

Abstract:
The aim of this review was to present problems emerging during the study of the Quality of Life in patients with end-stage renal disease on renal replacement therapy. Special attention was paid to the psychological tools that are used for assessment of the Quality of Life, including medical history, structured history, questionnaires and psychological tests. The NECOSAD (Netherlands Cooperative Study on Adequacy of Dialysis) study was analysed as an example of the current trends in the studies on Quality of Life.
