Andean plants Azorella compacta, Azorella yareta, and Laretia acaulis show anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Their diterpenoid compounds, azorellanol and 13-hydroxy-7-oxoazorellane, validated traditional medicine uses without toxicity.
