Background:

  • Granuloma annulare (GA) is a benign skin condition characterized by necrobiotic papules.
  • Ocular involvement has not been previously reported in association with GA.

Observation:

  • A case of uveitis was observed concurrently with granuloma annulare.
  • Ocular examination confirmed uveitis, while histopathology of skin lesions was consistent with GA.

Findings:

  • The patient experienced successful initial treatment of both skin and eye lesions with corticosteroids.
  • Relapse of uveitis and GA occurred after two months, responding again to corticosteroid therapy upon re-initiation.

Implications:

  • This case highlights a potential association between granuloma annulare and uveitis.
