Summary

Four months of ethanol consumption in rats did not activate cardiac renin-angiotensin system or natriuretic peptides. However, it did cause a preclinical alcoholic cardiomyopathy (ACM) structural change: decreased relative wall thickness.

Purpose of the Study:
