Abstract:
The operation of The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics, a biweekly newsletter on drug evaluations for physicians and other health personnel, is described. Included are a discussion of the history and current organization of the publication, method of writing reports, financing, and relations with the pharmaceutical industry. The future of The Medical Letter, in light of more stringent FDA procedures and the fewer new drugs being marketed, is discussed also.
