Observation:

  • A 34-year-old male with chronic HCV presented with acute lower extremity numbness and urinary retention.
  • Neurological examination and thoracic spine MRI confirmed transverse myelitis.
  • Laboratory findings included hyperglobulinemia, abnormal liver function, and positive autoimmune markers (ANF, anti-dsDNA, p/c-ANCA).

Findings:

  • The patient received high-dose prednisone treatment with partial neurological recovery after 15 months.
