  • Rats underwent repeated fasting and refeeding (RFR) cycles for 42 days.
  • Body weight, daily food intake, circulating leptin levels, and leptin mRNA in retroperitoneal white adipose tissue (RT-WAT) were measured.

    • These findings highlight an adaptive metabolic and hormonal response to cyclical feeding patterns.
