Update on the electronic medical record

Electronic medical records (EMRs) are becoming a reality, and many physicians are now actively considering their use. Predicting how quickly EMRs will achieve broad application is difficult, but EMR systems will gain wider acceptance if they are appropriately designed and efficient and benefit both patients and physicians.
