Elevated anticardiolipin antibodies in acute liver failure

Antibodies to cardiolipin (aCLA) were elevated in mice with acute liver failure induced by surfactant and influenza B virus. Children experiencing acute liver failure also showed increased levels of these mitochondrial antibodies.
