Summary

Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on titanium fibermesh tibial components significantly reduced migration and aseptic loosening compared to non-HA coated components over nine years. This suggests HA coating enhances implant stability in knee replacements.

  • To compare the in vivo migration of noncemented, diffusion sintered titanium fibermesh-coated tibial components with and without additional hydroxyapatite (HA) coating.
