Abstract:
Physicians who are not trained in dermatology often experience difficulty interpreting skin lesions. There seem to be a number of similar lesions, which are difficult to categorize. Thus, in this presentation the various dermatological diagnoses of cutaneous genital diseases are not listed systematically, e.g., cutaneous infections, cutaneous tumors. This presentation is based on the so-called "Effloreszenzen". They are lesions such as macules, papules, and ulcers, which are typical for various skin diseases. Knowledge of these skin lesions is helpful in categorizing skin diseases, not only those of the genital region.
