- Nitroprusside significantly increased cardiac index from a baseline of 1.60±0.35 L/min/m² to 2.22±0.44 L/min/m² after 6 hours (P<0.001) and 2.52±0.55 L/min/m² after 24 hours (P<0.001).

- Mean ejection fraction improved from 0.21±0.08 at baseline.

- Nitroprusside rapidly and substantially improves cardiac function in patients with severe aortic stenosis and decompensated heart failure.
