This study analyzed milk protein polymorphism in Kangayam cattle, revealing high allele frequencies for alpha(s)1-casein, beta-casein, beta-lactoglobulin, and alpha-lactalbumin. Linkages were found between casein and alpha-lactalbumin phenotypes.
