Purpose of the Study:
- To determine the prevalence of fibromyalgia (FM) in patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus (DM).
- To investigate the association between FM and diabetes, including different types of diabetes and glycemic control.

- 100 patients with DM (type 1 and type 2) and 50 healthy controls were assessed for FM using the 1990 American College of Rheumatology criteria.
- Tender point counts, pain scores, and biochemical tests including HbA1c levels were recorded.

- Fibromyalgia was diagnosed in 17% of DM patients, significantly higher than in controls (2%).
- No significant difference in FM prevalence was found between type 1 (18.5%) and type 2 (15.5%) diabetes.
