A limited role in parasitism for Microplitis demolitor polydnavirus

Parasitic wasps Microplitis demolitor infect Spodoptera frugiperda larvae with polydnavirus, temporarily disabling immune cells. However, wasp development fails due to early embryo death, not viral activity.
