Every scientific development brings legal issues and cases in its wake. It is in the nature of scientific progress that there is usually a long gap before there is legal provision for the problems that arise. This article explores the legal implications of the use of telemedicine in wound management and highlights some of the issues that practitioners should be aware of when they are exploiting scientific developments in this field.
