[Dermoid cyst of the testis]

Background:

• Dermoid cysts of the testis are rare germ cell tumors.
• They typically present in young males.

Observation:

• A case of a left testicular dermoid cyst in an 18-year-old male is presented.
• The cyst contained fat, hair, and squamous epithelium.
• Surgical excision preserved half of the testicular parenchyma.

Findings:

• No local recurrence was observed three years post-surgery.
• Spermogram analysis revealed normal results after treatment.
• Analysis of eleven cases, including this one, was performed.

Implications:

• Surgical management of testicular dermoid cysts can achieve favorable outcomes.
• Preservation of testicular parenchyma is feasible and important for fertility.
• Further analysis of clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects is warranted.
