Abstract:
We evaluated LaryGard, the cover for the blade of the laryngoscope developed with a purpose of preventing cross infection. By questionnaires we found that there is no adequate guideline for the washing and disinfection of the laryngoscopes at wards in our hospital and the affiliated hospitals. We think that LaryGard is a useful tool in view of preventing the infection and the cost of disinfectants.
