Summary
Neuroblastoma is rare in adolescents. Advanced neuroblastoma in adolescents has poorer outcomes than in children, though Stage III disease shows a longer survival. This study analyzed adolescent neuroblastoma cases from 1987-1999.

Lower incidence of elevated urinary catecholamine metabolite secretion was noted in adolescents.
Conclusions:
- Adolescent patients diagnosed with advanced neuroblastoma generally experience less favorable outcomes compared to children.
- However, adolescents with Stage III neuroblastoma may exhibit longer survival rates.
