Abstract:
Cardiovascular morbidity is a major burden in patients with type 2 diabetes. Many national guidelines for the treatment of type 2 diabetes recommend reducing the risk of multiple factors through the use of protocols and therapeutic targets. The current several important studies suggests that a long-term, targeted, intensive intervention involving multiple risk factors reduces the risk of both cardio-cerebro-vascular and microvascular events among patients with type 2 diabetes.
