Abstract:
A trust has set up an ongoing visiting/research cancer programme with two New York Institutions. Notable strengths of US services were greater resourcing and influence of clinicians, better 'pathway' design and increased IT investment. Specific recommendations for the trust include more clinical nurse specialists, more emphasis on research for clinicians and better communication within the network.
