Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., and studies show that screening clearly reduces mortality. Despite these realties, screening rates for colon cancer are abysmally low, with less than half of the people who should be screened actually following through. Find out why the message has not gotten through to many physicians or patients, and what interventions can help to boost screening rates.
