[Xu Ding-chao and the Medical College of the Peking (Capital) University]

Xu Ding-chao, being a Jinshi, (examinee passing through palace examination) was assigned as a teacher at this medical College. He experienced the whole process of inauguration and development of the medical College and witnessed the reform of educational system of the late Qing dynasty, especially the medical educational reform. He was a famous educationist at the turn of the Qing and Republican periods, and made important contributions to the education of TCM.
